- I’ve always wondered about how a massive and fast-paced e-commerce fulfillment center works. Friends at Amazon have invited me to see theirs, and I look forward to that. Independent fulfillment companies also exist, and Colorado-based QuickBox is shipping TENS OF THOUSANDS of products each month from their facility in Aurora. Their customers include fast growing startups shipping direct – and fulfilling through Amazon. Weird sounding I know, but you’ll learn about it in this episode. Being a sales guy and entrepreneur, I wanted to see how a “get it out today” operation is organized and operated, knowing 100% that I could never do it. Irene Scharmack gave me a tour, then we recorded this episode in her offices while everything I saw was still fresh. The hardest part of the business may be that QuickBox handles RETURNS including products with “sell by” dates – how they manage all that... it’s impressive and fascinating!
